4 easy steps to a Smooth Shave:

1. Hydrate your face and beard.  This will soften your beard and prepare your skin for shaving.  Shave after a hot shower -OR- apply a warm, wet wash cloth to your face for a minute or so.  A close and comfortable shave begins with preparation.

2. Apply shave butter with a dedicated shaving brush.  You can use your hands, but a brush works best, allowing the most efficient use of shave butter for the maximum amount of shaves.  Shave butter will melt into your skin on contact, becoming semi-transparent.  This allows you to see your face as you shave, easily navigating around your beard, sideburns or mustache.

3. Enjoy the best shave of your life! You only need a small amount for an incredibly clean shave.  No need to rinse off your shaving brush.  You’ll protect your drain and get more shaves.

4. Wipe off any excess from your face. Wipe off your blade, and store it wrapped in  a dedicated wash cloth.

Unlike most commercial shave butters, we use no alcohol, glycerin, aloe vera, soaps or other ingredients that would make our shave butter water soluble.    We don’t recommend rising your razor blade or washing shave butter down the drain, to avoid clogging, due to the high viscosity of shave butter.

Store your shave butter in a cool place.  Coconut oil starts to melt when the temperature exceeds 76 degrees.  Your shave butter is a natural product without artificial preservatives, so while it will still be just as effective, temperature extremes can change its texture.  If your shave butter gets too warm and melts in the jar, you can still use it, or you can pop it in the fridge and it will harden right up.
